I'm putting this here (and not in the special needs forum) because this is not for my child, but for my niece.
She is 5 and completely blind.

I'd like to buy her something she can enjoy, for the sake of enjoyment.

Just some info:
She has a TON of electronic "beep-y" type toys.
She does NOT enjoy plush, etc.
Yes, clothes are always an option, but I'd like to get a toy, personally!

SO, I'm open for suggestions.

I so prefer to consider her a little girl who is blind, not a blind little girl. :heart :heart

If anyone has a good resource site, or has a blind family member or student and can offer some suggestions, I'm grateful.

When I worked in the correspondence department for Focus on the Family, I had the mom of a son who was completely blind write to tell us how much her son loved the Adventures in Odyssey series. He would literally hug his tape player at night as he went to sleep listening to the Odyssey tapes. They were truly his "friends." Needless to say, I hooked her up and sent her every single tape her son didn't already have.

You should be able to purchase them at Christian bookstores, or at www.family.org.
