5 y/o testosterone surge, right?

Can someone remind me... I seem to remember that around 5.5 boys have a testosterone surge that can make them more aggressive, tired, act out, etc?? Isn't that around 5ish??

(just trying to understand my son better.

I don't know, but my 6.5 yo is sure being much more aggressive these last few months!

at around that time, when they lose their first tooth, they have a complete metabolic overhaul as their bodies begin to shift into adult type digestion and gut flora. With the loss of the milk teeth, the body is signaled to back off production of the digestive enzymes that digest milk. Many children "develop" dairy allergies at this time. You might try backing him off of milk. Cultured dairy such as cheeses and yogurts are usually not as bothersome as plain milk.
