GBD Compliment

On Saturday, our pastor told my dh and me that we were the best models of parents that he's ever had in any of his congregations throughout his ministry.

I was stunned that he said that. It is a compliment that I don't take lightly---he's not a young pastor---although I can't but help but feel that it's a bit of hyperbole. He obviously doesn't see the ins and outs of our daily life, but we have brought Julius to several weekend retreats, so he has seen us in practice over extended times. Anyway, it feels good that the gentleness, respect and love we try to show towards our ds is noticed. (And that he doesn't get annoyed when ds raises his hand to share a praise just about every Sunday during our congregational prayer request time.
