anyone else from a small town?
we live in a very small town and really people think we are freaks because we dont eat animal products. Does anyone else have this problem? If so how do you deal with it, especially with kids in school.

Re: anyone else from a small town?
You may not like my answer but the small town I grew up in had too much gossipping and too many people who couldn't keep their noses out of my business. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just remind your DC that healthy living is a way of life and they will stand up for what is right. I no longer live the small town life and have totally refused it because of how I had been treated. If it is not a huge conviction let your DC choose what they will eat at school and you can choose how they eat at home. If they are being teased at school for what they eat clearly somebody has too much time on their hands.
