DIY Canned Mexican Tomatoes
I was wondering if anyone here knew what spices and stuff to add to a plain ol' normal can of crushed tomatoes to turn it into that Mexican spiced tomatoes you can buy in the States? I think it's called Rotel?? Not sure on that one but I have a recipe that calls for spicy Mexican tomato cans and we don't get there here. Anyone?
TIA! |

It's green chilis, but I dont' know how much. Can you buy canned green chilis there?
What is the recipe for and maybe someone can find something similar that doesn't use them. |

Re: DIY Canned Mexican Tomatoes
Yes, I think we can get canned green chillies! The recipe is for Mexican-Meatball Soup. And the tomatoes form the liquid base. I was going to do it with just plain ol' tomatoes and use a bit extra spice but thought I'd see what others thought I could do. Thanks for replying!
