Mods, please move if this isn't the right place.. but I thought that since it was a specific situation/article, it belonged here rather than the Gentle Discipline forum.

I'm sure many of you have seen the HuffPo article recently circulating around social media that supposedly details why modrn-day parenting is in crisis - you know, the one written by a British nanny? When I read it, it didn't sit well with me... so I went looking for "gentle" rebuttals to share with my friends when they inevitably shared the article.

I thought maybe I would post them here so that others would haven a resource to do the same.

Please feel free to add others you are aware of, too. I know I found at least one other when I first searched, but I didn't save it :doh and now I'm not sure where it was.

And this one actually breaks down both the original AND Jennifer's points from the above link, and comes at it from more of a religious perspective..

I think this is fine here :yes It's discussing rebuttals to a (sort of) parenting guru's recommendations :tu

That's kinda what I was thinking, but I seem to have a knack for posting things that get moved to a different forum. :shrug3
