We have this one: http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&biw=974&bih=606&q=fridge+lock&gs_upl=535l1860l0l2417l11l10l0l0l0l0l246l1372l1.6. 2l9l0&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.,cf.osb&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=17317381138506691850&sa=X&ei=9FepTtq4F4LNtgfT2dwh&ved=0CIMBEPMCMAI

The boys can just pry it off.

Jon will take any opportunity to get into the fridge he can. He just poured himself a huge glass of apple juice and spilled half on the floor. I'm out of patience.

I cannot drill holes in the fridge. I do not want an actual padlock. Any suggestions?

When ours were little, we put the lock on the top of the fridge, rather than the side.

Won't help in all cases/fridges, though... :hug

I have been known to use duct tape...only thing is, it tended to keep me out of the fridge too. :shifty

Can you make a bungee cord work? I haven't had a top/bottom fridge in a really long time so I don't know for sure. I use a cloth to tie my side by side handles together b/c I couldn't find a lock I actually liked.

Or I wonder if putting an alarm/bell on it so it alerts you when the door opens would help?

I'll have to try tying the doors together. The freezer is on top and fridge on bottom but it might be enough resistance to work. The problem is that he gets in when I'm going to the bathroom or showering.

We have a side by side fridge. I have a fanny pack with a stiff buckle. I tied the straps into a knot so that the loop formed by the strap and buckle is the right length to strap the handles of the freezer and fridge together. It was too hard for ds to open himself when he was in a more mischievous phase and I could open it one-handed and hook it around just one handle when I didn't want it locked.
