washing ? when almost potty trained

What do you do when you are down to only a few diapers a week. DD (3) wears one at night, she only wets it about 3 x a week. So I have 3 wet diapers a week to wash. Would you wash them alone or throw them in with other loads?

I would wash them alone. Honestly though, that's when we switched to disposables. :bag I was pregnant and just tired at that point. We went back to cloth after the baby was born.

I have the same issue right now... DS is completely in underwear except for nap and bed (and even then, its more hit than miss for staying day). In 5 days, I had 1 wet pair of training pants. I just rinsed it really well in cold water (ASAP so they don't start to stink!), and then threw in with a normal load.

I did the rinse thing with dd1, for a while then I just switched to sposies. :shifty

We just rinse immediately in cold water, wring well and then throw in with a load like towels or socks and undershirts.

I switched to disposables with my son, but I think this time I'll just throw them in with the towels. The rinsing is a good idea because they really stink after several days.

Yes, at that point I switch to disposables. Here is how to use them so that you don't have to throw out a diaper each day for being 'used' even if she didn't pee in it.

1. Put her in underwear
2. Put the disposable over her underwear
3. Put on pj's and put her to sleep

In the morning if the diaper/underwear is wet - no biggie. Throw underwear in laundry, diaper in trash. If the diaper/underwear is dry then you can reuse the diaper b/c the underwear took the sweat/body stuff and the diaper is perfectly clean. You can reuse a diaper until the tabs fall off.

Wash with towels. It was just urine, my kids both learned pooping in the toilet very early.

We use disposables at night on my PT'd 3 yr old. If it's just pee, though, then I'd either wash with the towels or with clothes.
