I have a ton of wool to wash. I think I can throw it in my frontloader on the wool wash setting, right? How many should I wash at a time? Do I just squirt lanolin and wool wash in with them?

Any tricks on getting stains out of wool? Is there any reason why I shouldn't sun them?

TTL uses her wool wash setting all the time. Not sure exactly how she does it, you might nudge her if she doesn't show up here :)

I'd wash it all together...if some of them are really 'felty' you might want to stick those individually in pillowcases or lingerie bags.

I may have more than will fit in the washer. :giggle

So what exactly is a wool wash setting? I have a very basic top loader, but it has a "delicates" and a "handwash" setting. :scratch I can also control the temperature.

I wash some of our woolies in the washer, but not my favorites! I always put them in garment bags, wash on cold/wool and use a squirt of dawn dishsoap for soap. I relanolinize them when they come out of the washer, and lay flat/hang to dry.
