Please help me recall what cloth alternatives there are to pullups? I would love to find something that would fit both my DD's, each for occassional use for different reasons. (DD1 needs them for pooping and possibly nighttime DD2 is having a hard time with climbing and active play in her thick prefolds and soakers and it might help her for when we play outside and active stuff) The more natural fiber/breatheability they have the better chance I'd have of getting them to work for DD2 - she's had rash issues with synthetics in the past.

I know Little Beatles is one choice, but are there others that might be better or less expensive?

Not sure what type of fabric these have, but I just bought some a few weeks ago for night time and they are pretty absorbent.

I've heard really good things about Blueberry trainers; not sure how they compare cost-wise. http://www.pinstripesandpolkadots.com/products/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=9037&idcategory=6

Also, a friend of mine makes and sells cloth trainers as well. She'll also do custom orders, if you want something specific.

I've heard good things from people using Motherease Sandy's fitted diapers for trainers.

We recently got 12 Antsy Pants. They are cute :) You can pull them up as a pull up, can stuff with whatever you want, and they have snaps on the side to use as a diaper. www.getantsy.com (http://www.getantsy.com)

I guess it depends on just what you need. If you need a ton of absorbency, this wouldn't work. But I have had decent success with just using the Gerber cloth training pants coupled with a lightweight pull-on cover like the Bummis Whisper pant. It was a much cheaper alternative for us.

The EC store has a bunch of cloth training pants. I like using the pull-on trainer COVER with an infant prefold stuffed inside. You could also put regular absorbent training underwear underneath :yes

Here's a link to all of their training pants. The ones I like are at the very end:

I can't speak from experience about any of the others, but I love the training covers! They're basically just like Thirsties diaper covers, except they pull up and down. Very nice and they go up to 45 pounds so they aren't just for tiny EC'd babies or anything like that :no

We've used SuperUndies, Poquito Pants and Bumbledoo Bumble Pants.

The SuperUndies are the most waterproof ones.. you can get ones that side snap and are stuffable, or pullon ones that aren't.
