Night time trainers?

Ds has been in regular underwear the past few days and has been doing really well. We're having issues with night time though. He really really wants to just wear his underwear to bed, but he still wets occasionally at night. We need something that will pull on and be sort of like underwear but still be absorbent and waterproof. Any recommendations? And fwiw, I'd take recommendations for patterns too.

We use Happy Heineys nightime trainers. They do not come with an insert, so you can stuff it with whatever you want.
