I know there have been threads like this in the past, but I've never needed the info til now. So, I know Joann's gives a discount to homeschoolers (don't know how to go about doing it though), and I know we can sign up to do Book It as homeschoolers. What else?

Maybe this is too obvious, but Barnes and Nobel has a 20% educator discount. Other bookstores might, too.

I didn't know that Scholastic gives discounts, and I go to their booksale. I didn't even think about it. Would my approval letter be good enough for the discounts. Staples I hear gives discounts, but the last time I went the cashier said she didn't know what I was referring to. I should have asked a manager. I wonder if Michaels gives teacher discounts too.

:popcorn I believe that all the major brick and mortar book stores do teacher discounts: Books-A-Million & Borders as well as Barnes & Noble. I'm not sure about using it online, though. Anyone know?

Yes, what kind of proof do I need to have to show I'm an educator? I haven't bothered with any of this since we haven't had to file yet, but next year we will.
