Please tell me I don't have to iron my flats!!! I've been doing the washing/drying prep and the edges of my green mountain flats come out all crinkled, folded, and curled around the edges. I tried some practive folding last night and it's just NOT gonna work unless I can get those edges flattened.

What's the trick (and don't say the iron! :shifty)?

The newer flats I have tend to do that but after being washed 5 billion times they behave better :giggle

that is what I was thinking after I posted it that after the first couple of washings that maybe I did have that issue but after I fully preped them and then started using them they don't any more.

They're the unbleached mediums? i think? They've been washed/dried 4 times now. What else do I need to do to get them prepped so they come out better?

You can hang flats out to dry and fluff them in the dryer for 5 minutes if you feel like it, for softness. They dry in about 30 minutes on the line, inside or out.

:shifty :think Hmmm, a clothes line...I knew there was something else I forgot to buy (just remembered a wet bag this morning :giggle).

The selvaged edge on ours is crinkled up too. It's because of the shrinkage. It hasnt been an issue. They don't fold up perfectly straight but they still absorb just fine.

They end up being so bulky though, because of those triple crinkled edges. They seem to come out of the washer like that even. :think Like they never got *uncrinkled*. :scratch

My Osocozy flats do that too. I hate it. I've even tried smoothing them out of the washer before putting them in the dryer. Didn't help. I'm not sure how long I've been using them, but it's been at least a few months (maybe 6?) and I haven't found the trick to smooth edges yet.

I would try allowing them to air dry and then run em on a fluff cycle. That should help.
