we are planning on using prefolds and covers. is that possible at night? i heard you need some sort of material between the prefold and the skin, to wick away the moisture. help!

We've used prefolds and covers at night withouy any problems. We've usually used a wool cover because it's breathable. My son needed to have natural fiber against his skin; the wetness didn't bother him. Synthetics give him a rash. Other kids are the opposite--the wet cotton breaks them out, but synthetics that wick away wetness work well. :shrug3 You could try what you have for a night or two and see if it works--if not, you could buy some cheap fleece and cut it into liners for overnight.
