Anyone have suggestions for Scripture related activities to do with the kids on Shabbat eve? Or books that would be good read alouds? Maybe missionaries or something? Something engaging/exciting but with a good example or message? We read the Torah portion and go to services on Shabbat, but I haven't managed to do anything much special on Shabbat Eve.
What do your kids like to do? We'll probably get 'The Bible In Living Color' cds and things similar for our little ones to listen to. You could sponsor a missionary (or missionary kid) you know and on Shabbat eve write letters and draw pictures to put into a care package.
How about the Sam Campbell series? http://www.samcampbell.com/ But they're cheaper at http://libraryanded.com/
I loooved those, as well as the Grandma's Attic series. My niece and nephew are enjoying Joe Wheeler's kids' books: http://www.adventistbookcenter.com/Detail.tpl?sku=0816323666 http://www.joewheelerbooks.com/
Hope that gives you a good start.
