I'm trying to think, I'm really mostly familiar with cotton fabric, and the only thing that I'm familiar with in RE to PUL is pocket dipes, or wetbags in which it isn't sewn directly onto cotton or whatever.

Is there any reason that PUL cannot be sewn directly on something?

I was thinking of sewing Leo some trainers and wanted to sew PUL on the outside, velour on the inside, but with no "opening" for anything, just directly onto each other. . .

Is that ok for washing and drying??

I don't see why it would be a problem. I used PUL when I made cloth diapers, and I don't see what difference it would make to make a basic "cover/trainer" and not use a liner.

There are some on Hyena Cart just like what you're describing, but I can't think of the name... ah, my sis knew - stellar transitions from utopian dreams
