G diapers questions

Has any one used prefolds in g-diapers covers? I'm thinking in a small size cover. What size prefold fits in? Does it work okay? Also, what is the material of a g-diaper cover like compared with a cover like Thirsties? Just thinking over options and am curious.

I used infant pf's in the med/lg liners.
my sis has some smalls. she got a couple old cotton flannel blankets and cut them up to make em fit the sm g's. shes also used preemie pf's, doubled up though. the infant pfs are workable but a bit more of a pain
