Soaker material

What are your favorite materials for soakers? How well does flannel work? I have lots of flannel at home, but I know it may not be the best. What about cotton terry?

anything that is all cotton/bamboo/hemp works great, including flannel imo
microfiber works as well (and zorb) but not necessary, and not used against the skin
I love the stability and soaking power of a good flannel myself....

Thanks. I have a ton of flannel so it'll be nice not to have to buy anything else.
