Which do you prefer? Elastic seems like it would be a lot easier to use, but drawstrings seem more common so I'm wondering if there is a reason? :think

Elastic takes more effort to make.

I prefer drawstrings because I think they last longer. And some days Sophia's chubbier than others, but the cover still fits!

I prefer encased elastic but yeah they take more effort...they are easier to take on and off though. For me they last just as long.

I prefer drawstring most of the time. I have a couple of each.
Elastic is usually quicker on and off, but like Sara said it fits no matter what. And I've found, if he has a bigger diaper on, the elastic doesn't always fit well up and over the diaper to get it on/off.

I like elastic. R sucks the strings until they are sopping otherwise.

i much prefer drwastring because elastic seems to cut in and leave marks the more it stretches with a drawstring i can use the cover longer

I like drawstring. I like to be able to customize the fit everytime. Plus they fit longer, and they are easier for me to make.

With drawstrings, I just tuck the strings into the pants. Otherwise, Punkin will untie them or play with them. :doh

I like drawstrings too. If the child is likely to untie them, I just double-tie the knot.

Depends on the type of wool - on knitted wool I liked drawstrings and on wool fabric I prefer elastic.
