prefolds and thirsty covers leaking everywhere...

I am doing two folds, one with all of it in the front, the other a newspaper twist (I think its what its called) and they are both leaking everywhere...I am getting frustrated. obviously. any suggestions? I am wondering if its a boy issue...

I think we do the angel fold. We use Bummi wraps, though.

Do they need to be stripped?

Are these prefolds brand new? How did you prep them?

Is it leaking through the cover or out the legs?

the legs and the top. maybe they havent been washed enough? I washed them at least 5 times in hot water at this point...they were brand new when I bought them. :naking sorry its short...

are you pointing him straight down? Sometimes that could matter...

are you fastening the pf or just using the cover to hold it on?

Does water absorb into the dipes when you test drip on them? Are we talking poo leaks or pee leaks?

are you positive that the entire prefold is tucked inside of the cover? Sometimes little pieces of cloth can peek out of the legs and top and this can cause wicking.

Are you pointing his penis down when you fold the diaper?

:think the other suggestions might do the trick (tucking in any stay edges, pointing him down), but if it ends up being the prep of new dipes, try soaking overnight in oxyclean. (sodium percarbonate) That seems to remove the natural oils for me faster than other people are reporting. :shrug3 Not sure I even soaked for long, or just put it in the first wash....it's been awhile...but I've used mine fine after 2-3 washes, whereas the official directions from the prefold wholesaler say 5-10 washes.
