Y'all know that Eddie still doesnt sleep but I just wanted to ask a couple of questions to make sure I'm on track, I'm having a few issues and wonder if its the PPD or something I need to change.

I've come to the point now where I am thinking that its Sprout's sleep associations that I need to help him with. The association he currently has is playing with my mouth. So following this link (http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.drjaygordon.com%2Fdevelop ment%2Fap%2Fsleep.asp&h=5920231b00d0328c883f2b4d6b01a7db) that someone from here sent me, I been attempting to change to hand holding or rubbing his tummy, its worked fairly well until the babysitter came and we're back at square one!

So I'm starting again but the issue now is that when he lies down, he immedidately wants to get back up. in order to rub/pat him if been holding him firmly to keep him layed down - is that cruel? Im torn. The health professionals dont want to discuss his sleep anymore because I am "unwilling to work with the proven information that has been provided!" Basically they want me to us CC and CIO. Errrrrr I dont think so!!!! :nocio

Sleep problems are so difficult :hugheart We have had a lot of issues with DS and it's only become easier fairly recently. We have often held him down to sleep - he was tired but left to himself didn't know to lie down and and rest. He always hated it and fought us. I just always thought it was more cruel to not give him the sleep he needed. I still tell him if he's not settling down that I'll have to hold him down if he doesn't do it himself.

Have you read the No Cry sleep solution? They had a lot in there about improving sleep associations. I hope you get some answers.
