Sonlight or SOTW -- experience anyone?

I'm looking at each of these as possibilities for next year. But I haven't gotten very far in my research yet. :O So, I thought I'd check here first. :)

What kind of experience do you have? Is there a reason you chose one over the other? :think

Can I ask a question? How do you all afford Sonlight? It is really expensive!

We are Sonlight users. Haven't tried the other. :) My daughter loves it. She loves the fact that it's almost all ~books~. I love the fact that it is so well laid out. :)

I'd be glad to weigh in on any specific questions. We're on our second year; not experts by any means, but I can give you a little input.

We used SOTW this year (and by used, I mean, when ever we got around to reading from it.. :O) Anyway, I really did like it....but I think it would have gone smoother if my ds was a bit older. It says it is for grade 1 to 5 (or 8, I can't remember), but I think he will do even better with it next year. :yes
