Dipes turning weird color when wet ?

I've just stripped and baked my pf's because Speedy had a yeast diaper rash. :( I finally got up the guts to go back to my cd's and started this morning.

When I changed his diaper, I noticed that the dipe had turned an orangey/rust kind of color where the pee and poo had been absorbed. :/ :scratch I've seen it turn this color before in the wet bag after some hours, but not while he's still wearing it :hunh

What's going on here? Is this another type of bacteria/fungus that I'm dealing with or is this normal? :shrug And if it is something, what can I do? :shrug

:popcorn The microfiber inserts in ds's pockets do this too. I'll be curious to see if anybody has info on this.

Is he on any meds? several can cause this. Also make sure hes well hydrated as this can account for the deeper color.

It's not the color of the urine :no ...it's *something* going on with the dipes

My dipes are 5+ years old actually, so I wonder if that's part of the issue. :shrug3
