how do you do forward facing in a RS? I mean little leggies need to be out dont they?

No, they sit in a little crossedlegs position!

You can also do a facing-in carry with a ring sling, where the legs are tucked in. (usually recommended for newborns)

I think that after a certain age you will not be able to do facing out, however; your back will really feel it and it will just be too bulky.

I tend to stick to hip, front and sometimes back but find the front/hip carry to be more than enough. Check out her other videos for other carries and troubleshooting too. I didn't get the hang of the RS until I had my second and since then other than my mei tai it's the only carrier I'll use even over the pouch.
