View Full Version : Should we transition a toddler to our bed? How do you handle multiple kids?

Here's another one...having admitted my feelings of guilt that we didn't do the same things with the 3 yr old as we are with the 7mo, should we try to bring him to bed with us now and how do we juggle more than one child in bed? We have at this point taken a don't ask, don't refuse stance with him. He never wants to sleep by himself anymore and cries everytime. When he asks to sleep with us we usually let him, but he is so wiggly and talks and generally treats it like play time. It drives hubby crazy, cause he is tired :/. He also likes to sleep in big brothers (11yrs) room on the bottom bunk and does that more often than anything, but still cries a bit. Our bed and room are not that big. Thanks, Tara

I would talk to him and tell him that if he wants to sleep with mama and daddy he has to lay still(a little movement is to be expected though ;)). It is just the same as his bed. Bed time is bed time. KWIM?

yeah at 3 it got harder for ds to follow the rules and easier for him to sleep in his own space.
