Does anyone know where I can get a knitting pattern for wool covers? My mom is great at knitting but she needs a pattern to work from, and I think she'll be very happy to be able to knit some covers for me. Thanks!

There are some free patterns, but I have yet to find one that works well for *me*.
The one I like best uses circular needles and is knit in the round (that means you don't have to sew it when you're done --it's all knitted in one piece) from http://www.littleturtleknits.com. She has a few different patterns --I use the plain old soaker pattern, but she also has a ribknit one that looks great as well.

http://diaperpages.com/soaker.php

This page has a list of a bunch of pattens.

I found this one that looks really nice too.

Trying to post again. Most comprehensive list I've found with free and for sale patterns is:

I really liked this one because it was super easy:

I found this one this morning. If you want a wrap style soaker this one is knit.

let me know if that link doesn't work. i'm not sure it will. It may prompt you to register and that is the only way you can see the pattern, but it's free anyway.

edited to change the link so it would work

My favorite is the Fern and Faerie, available at www.hyenacart.com/fernandfaerie It's a formula pattern, instead of "X many rows for size A." You punch whatever gauge you have and your kids particular measurements into it and get a totally custom sized soaker. My last two children in particular had un-average builds, so generic medium or large sizing didn't fit them well at all.

I also like the free Curly Purly pattern, available at www.curlypurly.com/soaker.html It doesn't work with just any wool though, you need one with good recovery (not merino, for example).

Thank you so much everyone! I'm going to give some of these to my mom and see what she comes up with!
