I met a missionary wife who recommended Shepherding a Child's Heart to me. There wasn't time to talk then, but she and her family are coming to our church in July. I'd love to share with her a couple of books that talk about changing a child's heart without hitting them, from a Christian perspective. I love Unconditional Parenting and a few others I've read, but they're not from a Christian viewpoint, so I'm afraid she might dismiss them as secular and not take them seriously. TIA!

Yes, Familys Where Grace is In Place is a good one, as is anything by the Clarkson's, such as Heartfelt Discipline. What about Crystal's books?

I'd recommend Heartfelt Discipline by Clay Clarkson. It also deals with heart issues, only from a more gentle perspective.

Our library doesn't have any of those. I'd love to read them first, but I might go ahead and recommend them anyways. Thanks!
