What books (or kits) would you suggest for first grade science?? We would like to supplement the science in the MFW 1st curriculum for next year because this is an area that ds is particularly interested in.
He loves experiments and building things or finding out how things work.

Thanks a lot!!!!

I am thinking of getting one of the Jeanne Fulbright Apologia books. http://www.jeanniefulbright.com/index.html probably Exploring Creation with Astronomy or Exploring Creation with Zoology 1. If you are after something secular then I have no idea.

I don't know if you are looking for a full kit or just a book of ideas, but the AIMS program is wonderful. I used it a lot when I was teaching & plan to use it with my kiddos as we homeschool. It is all hands on.

There are some free sample lessons in the site that you might want to print to see what you think.

I do not know what I am looking for either, so all suggestions are welcome.
MFW will be doing science one day a week and ds would not mind it everyday so I would like to supplement that for as long as he is interested.
Thank you for all the suggestions so far.
