You know, I only have bendy straws too. I'm going to trim off the bendy part and see if that works, though I'm wondering if the distance between the loops will make a difference. I'll post after we've tried it and let you know if it works. :-)

My kids did it today for science and just cut the bendy straws we had. It worked great--except for the double looper. They fly great!!

I just tried these and within a few days I know I am going to have a whole fleet of them flying about the house. They are so cool.

I nearly forgot about this. We did try it.
Our dd experimented with the original design, adding various sized hoops and such, to see if she could get it to work even better. :tu
