Anyone heard of her? I'm reading her book on parental anger right now and it's been helpful. I know she has at least one parenting book out and does seminars on discipline. Just wondering if she is punitive-minded/spanking-endorsing or not. I can't tell from the book I have nor from her website. She writes a lot about how her anger led her down the path of child abuse and how she recovered from that. I'm just afraid that her discipline stuff might teach how to "spank--but not in anger" or something.

Know of her, met her, love her BUT...she is still punitive minded and I wouldn't read ANYTHING on discipline by her. It's the whole "how to spank calmly" thing. Great lady but misguided.

Thanks, Terri! I had a suspicion. I have been struggling with anger and am finding her brief book about parental anger a bit helpful at articulating some thoughts I've had. But her references to children's "disobedience" are a bit frequent and it had me wondering what her "discipline solutions" would be.
