We are making our second attempt at HS and I cannot decide on what curriculum to use. I really like Charlotte Mason, but I am afraid that for this first year we may need something a little more planned out and easy to follow. I am not good at organization and so I reallt want something in between. Not too structured or strict but something already planned out, KWIM? Any ideas????

Yes, and for our overall HS endeavor this is what we want to use but for the rest of this school year I really think I need something a little more laid out. (but not too strict) That way I will have a chance to really study CM material and get a better grasp on it. We want to pull our 8 yo out of public school so this is really last minute, I had not planned on doing it so soon. I love ambleside and like I said , that is what we will most likely use long term. I just need more time to read her stuff. OK I am done rambling for now :P~

Have you seen Angelicum? It's a great books program, and it's more laid out than CM I think, but not as rigorous as Thomas Aquinas which was my other choice. I :heart CM too. :)

Here's a link:

Ok, it's waaay Catholic, but I AM waaay Catholic. :lol Forgot about that. But look at the curriculum guide. it lays it all out, and by no means are all the books Catholic. Just the religion ones.

There's also:

Angelicum is the Catholic version of that I do believe.
