When I first started homeschooling - heck, even when I declined to send my first child to preschool - NO ONE in my family was supportive. My MIL was very against it. She didn't belabor the point, but she definately scrutinized K for a few years to see if she could detect the dreaded backwards-child-syndrome :giggle or some obvious lack of knowledge.

So, what a SHOCK! She gave me the best compliment yesterday. She said, thoughfully, "I think if I had it to do over again, I would homeschool my kids." :jawdrop :woohoo :jump2

I love it when that happens! :yes

There's no zealot like a convert. My mil went the same way. Isn't it amazing how GOOD it feels to be validated like that?
