This Creative Correction thing at church has really had me bothered. :nails I've literally been just :sick at the thought of my church, which is *so* grace oriented in every other way except teaching this book as a Bible Study. I've voiced my opinion of the book briefly (Oh, I hate that book! :shifty), but really hadn't had a chance to address it with anyone in leadership.
And, frankly, I haven't felt led to share it outright. I've already asked the church to remove the GKGW program (which they did :rockon) and just didn't feel comfortable asking them to remove something else. I started the review of the book on my blog mostly because I needed an outlet to vent about the book. I've *so* wanted to share the link with several key people in the leadership, and just felt like I couldn't. I've been praying for weeks that if God wanted me to discuss it with the leadership, he would have them ask me. :pray
So, this morning, I stopped to say hi to the leader of the Women's Ministry. She asked me, flat-out, "What was it again that you didn't like about Creative Correction? I've been reading through it and watching the video, and I agree with everything." :jawdrop
It was the question I'd been waiting for! :jump2
I told her that I disagreed with her theology and assumption that we learn to obey God after learning to obey parents. And told her I'd email her the link to my blog. :mrgreen
God is just AWESOME! :amen
