Reversing his letters now....

Ds has started reversing his letters. :scratch Like he'll write a C or a P pointed the opposite direction. He's in second grade and has not really had this problem. Maybe when he first started to write, but he pretty much got over it. Has anyone else noticed this in their elementary aged children?

It's normal. Mine both did it with 6 and 9, p and q. Just gently point it out and don't worry about it.

yeah it is normal. if you think about it this way: as babies they learn that a cup is a cup if it is up, down, front or back, but then they have to unlearn that concept when they learn letters because so many letters are different if they are reversed or inverted.........like the PP said just point it out and have him correct it
