A new daddy sling ?

Any recommendations or suggestions for a sling for my dh?? Maybe something a man in your life really likes that has a more guy-like look or just something that works for him... We'd appreciate the info!! :ty

DH uses a rebozo, but won't be seen outside the house with it. All that fringe doesn't project a manly image. :laughtears

DH was fine with a navy ring sling when DD was teeny-tiny, but now he is an Ergo man. He loves it!

my dh likes the nojo baby sling (I think because it's very big and denim) -- I hate the thing, can't use it at all, but dh likes it.
When the kids got a little bigger, he likes the baby bjorn carrier. Comes in neutral manly colors. :)

Most of the men I know prefer the many manly buckles of an Ergo but I've convinced a few to go with dark colored pouches.

In my area I haven't seen any sling/wrap wearers both moms and dads, and I've felt a bit lonely. In the past week I've seen 2 different men wearing kids with ring slings! I was so excited I just had to comment to them about how great it was to see this. I hope I didn't make them uncomfortable. But I would guess if the dad is comfortable enough to wear it in public, he wouldn't take my comments in a negative way.

(But then I always think of the haircut thing with guys - if a woman gets her haircut and you compliment on it she feels good. If a guy gets his haircut and you compliment, he is embarrassed and thinks something is wrong!)

I have a pretty feminine ring sling that is like an asian sort of thing....but i know someone who makes a camo one that i'd like to get DH...PM if you'd like the site info on how you can order one...

I made a ring sling out of plain navy fabric, and dh will wear that in public.

I think with girls you compliment a haircut, and with guys you can just say you got a haircut and it's compliment enough.

My hubby didn't like the NoJo or the New Native. He likes the Maya a LOT.. he tells EVERYONE about it. :) It's cream colored (solid), so not too girlie for my son or my hubby.

My Dh would wear our maya pouch. It was a print, but neutral colors. He also likes the Ergo. And last weekend, I saw two! daddys with unbleached cotton ring slings.

My DH won't wear a sling - feels they're not cool enough. :shrug He likes our Red Castle sport carrier, though. It's like a Bjorn, but baby can be put in it in their outdoor clothing as well.
