"Boutique" tote diaper bags

I have seen these on EBay and really love them but know I can make them at home, but how? These are the diaper bags that have the flat bottoms and angled sides and are usually tied with a bow at the top often with contrasting fabrics or ribbon trim. Anyone have a freeware pattern or instructions they can share with me? I am really stuck on how to design the structure of the bag.

My friend made one of those for me. . . . I think she just figured it out though. . . . :think (My brain's a little muddled on how to communicate the pattern).
