I have the crib side-carred to the bed, but in order for the crib mattress to be level with the bed mattress, it has to be on its highest setting. Ds (11 months) is late pulling up and has not done that yet, but when he does, what can I do to keep him from climbing right over the side away from the bed and getting wedged between the crib and the wall? Is there some creative way to "extend" the side up some? Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and how they conquered it. I could use some advice on this one!

I just have ours shoved against the wall....

I wish I could do that - but the big bed is one of those high, firm waterbeds and it won't budge. :/

i have ours shoved against the wall as well.

but i'd definantly think that if a child has an easy way out of the crib that they would take it, don' t you agree. why go through all the trouble of climbing over the side if you can just roll onto the bed, kwim?

Well, that's a good point.
