Today has been a good school day thus far with my 6 yr old. I bought some steamers last night for lunch today. I have not had these for years and years...Anyway, my dd was very fascinated by them so we decided to make a school lesson with them. She placed them in the water and waited patently for them to pop open while my older dd timed how long it took, then we took the clam out and cut it in hafe and now they want to know the body parts of it and what is all the "gooey stuff inside" :lol :shrug ummm, I do not remember studying clams in school as I'm sure I did but do not recall..I'm looking for a age friendly website that would further there knowledge on these yummy creatures :) They also have watched one too many cartoons and want to know how the shiny pearl fits into the picture.

BTW they tried and do not like the taste of clams :lol Which I figured they wouldn't. Dh won't come anywhere near them himself..but has no problem munching fried clam strips :/

Any kid friendly websites that you know of???

I tried searching..which I'm not the best searcher at all and could not narrow it down under 2000 or so matches :blush

TIA ~Michelle
