In the PNW, tennis shoes, or sneakers, are plenty for everyday wear. I also love my Dansko clogs for keeping my feet out of the water. Teva or Chaco sandals with socks are a go to as well. For hiking, I’d also go with a trail shoe. Merrill makes some good ones. In May the trails will be hit or miss around here as far as how wet they’ll be. It’s usually pretty good by then.
