Throughout elementary school, we use dictation, drawing from the ideas in Bonnie Landry's book Homeschooling, simplified: Dictation: how to teach grammar, spelling, reading and almost all language arts in an easy alternative to the homeschool curriculum (Volume 1).
This past year, the 11 year old used Level 5 of The Good and the Beautiful. Next year, we plan to use Student Writing Intensive Level B from the Institute for Excellence in Writing.

Essentials in Writing and Essentials in Literature - fairly traditional English for middle and high school - comes with teaching videos and a workbook - I think you can choose online or dvs now. Also they provide a scoring service for the upper grades. This is nice if you need outside feedback. They have all grade levels but I am not familiar with below 6th. The website has samples.
Oh, grammar is included through 6th grade I think.

We have been using The Good and the Beautiful for LA in high school. It is really good. My biggest "beef" about it is that they do not use traditional literature and there are only 5 books assigned for the year.
If you are looking for a good Literature curriculum, I really like Excellence in Literature. It is thorough, covers the background of the time period and author and the essay assignments are meaty.
