Default Re: Age your children slept through the night dry?

My first 3 within 6months of potty training. 2.5, 2 and 3.5 my older son was still wearing pull ups at night until right before his 5th birthday. He's a deep sleeper.
My youngest was even faster than the others within a few weeks of potty training at 2.5.

My kids were all in the early end or all that and all for ds1 we used cloth pullups or underwear under pullups so they felt wet at night. I just didn't think to do it with ds1, it had been 4 years since I'd potty trained anyone (the girls were kind of every other year) and was up with both boys a lot at night and didn't want any sheets to change or upset damp toddler. I spent some extra money and bought him cloth pullups and started putting him in cloth pullups the summer he was turning 5 and he was dry at night in a few nights refused to wear the cloth pullups at night and never looked back. I got like 3 weeks out of them.

To be fair, we did every trick in the book and they didn’t hold it all night until their bodies were ready for it. We just have told all of them that their brains just didn’t hear their bladders at night, nothing they could do about it really. One would even pee 3 times a night, didn’t matter what we did. We just used pull-ups instead of washing full loads of sheets and blankets every day.

Where can I buy these cloth pull ups?!!!!!!!!!

I gave up on our cloth because she's too big for everything we have.

One of mine hated wet diapers so much, she was dry at night from about 4 months to a year.

With ours, when we stopped diapers until they were 6ish, I'd have to take them to the toilet if I heard them stirring in the middle of the night; otherwise, they'd pee the bed.

Mine were both dry at night as soon as they potty trained. Age 2 and Age 3. It was absolutely nothing that I did. I think it is when their body is ready and wouldn't be concerned about it until age 7 or 8.

So far, all of mine were dry at night right around the same time they potty trained at around 3ish. I didn't do anything special I don't think to make that happen and I wasn't expecting it, but it was nice!

Wow! Did you do EC?

1st child was 4 yrs, both girls were about 6 yrs, and 4th child will be 9 in January and has lots of dry nights but not all yet.

Back in the summer ( I think) is when I started waking him and taking him to the bathroom 1-2 times a night, he needed the 2nd one! I just took him if/when I woke up to pee so might be midnight, might be 4 am. Now I just do once or none. I was beginning to worry a bit when he had turned 8 and was wet every night.

2, 5, 3 - but middlest took a diuretic at night, so I she really can't be factored into the equation.

Mine were all dry at night when they potty trained:
2.5, 23 mos, 2.5 & 24 mos
And it just happened like that.

We had cloth pull ups, too. But this was well over 10 years ago.

I checked my favorite online diaper store. They were sold out of all cloth pull ups in sizes big enough for 40 lbs. My kiddo is 36 lbs. Our largest diapers stopped fitting around 30 lbs.

THIS! My partial-EC babies were all dry at night early BUT travel somewhere and it all goes out the window. One was still liable to wet the bed everytime we had a big trip or transition until he was 10.

My kids were dry overnight super early (18 months-ish) as well except for 1 regressed at around 6 or 7.

One of mine was a very deep sleeper and was a bedwetter until sometime between10 and 11. The PA that we see was reassuring and said that some children just sleep more deeply and have smaller bladders that mature later than others. Six months after that conversation he started waking up dry all that time.
