Looking for veggie Ceasar dressing..
I want a gorgeously delicious recipe for Ceasar's salad that is vegan. Recipes anyone? Also, what would you serve with it--vegan?? Since grilled chicken is out of the question...(we can't have soy products btw).

Re: Looking for veggie Ceasar dressing..
Did you ever find a non-soy Caeser dressing? How about serving it with chickpeas and homemade croutons? I love homemade croutons because you can season them how you want. I always add lots of Spike and lots of fresh garlic, plus I only use EVOO.

Do you have access to Ecological Cooking by Joanne Stepaniak and Kathy Hecker? She has two dressings in there and they are both soy-free. There is a different one in Vegan Vittles. I've noticed that some have soy sauce. I guess you could replace that with Vegan Worstshire, but I don't know if that has soy in it. I really like the look of the one in Ecological Cooking. Have you ever tried Drew's Garlic dressing? I think if you made some faux Parmesan and added that you would get a very similar dressing.

One more thing. I was just thinking if you eat Seitin. You can lightly dip it in some bread crumbs that have poultry seasoning mixed it. Then pan fry in a little oil. That would be a really tasty meat replacement.

Re: Looking for veggie Ceasar dressing..
You can't eat it if you are gluten free. Sorry..I didn't notice that. It's wheat gluten that's been boiled and it becomes meaty.
