Re: Language Arts (beyond learning to read) -- Share what you've used
Throughout elementary school, we use dictation, drawing from the ideas in Bonnie Landry's book Homeschooling, simplified: Dictation: how to teach grammar, spelling, reading and almost all language arts in an easy alternative to the homeschool curriculum (Volume 1).
This past year, the 11 year old used Level 5 of The Good and the Beautiful.
Next year, we plan to use Student Writing Intensive Level B from the Institute for Excellence in Writing.
