I love having an air fryer and love mine but it’s needed repairs (warranty) so I wouldn’t recommend it
We use it for so much stuff. Anything we’d bake fry or toast.
Dh makes homemade breaded chicken and garlic bread regularly , anything frozen that needs cooking.
I have the rack type (counter top oven). If we weren’t a gf/gluten mixed house this would replace my toaster for sure as my waffles and toast are faster than the gluten peoples toast and waffles LOL I make bacon
My family uses it more than daily
I’ve also made a ton of random homemade items when I crave them—- homemade onion rings, homemade mozzarella sticks, homemade egg rolls.
I don’t wanna ever live without one again.
Our oven may have broken and we r like “eh the toaster oven is fine for now” and not in an emergency hurry to fix it. We will fix it because I can’t fit a lot of stuff in it but it’s a lovely option
And makes “fried foods” so so not greasy and so much faster.
My requirements when I get a new one
*minimum two wire racks
*a sheet pan that fits (we have a custom one that slides in like a rack).
*rotisserie attachment
I have to ask DH who uses it more heavily. He was skeptical when I bought it but it’s very heavily used now.
I spent $300 on ours. When it died we got a brand new one. Time will tell if the second one lasts and it was just a random quality control issue.
Size is important and I can’t help the bigger families. We do NOT have big eaters (opposite actully) and have a household of 4 now. Many nights we cook for obit 2 or 3 due to work schedules . It’s rare all 4 of us are home for dinner
