I am desperately trying to get my vit D up, and I read here and other places that magnesium helps to absorb and assimilate vit D supplements. (among other things, which I am also doing/using.)
I have used magnesium oil in the past, and I have been using a spray daily. It does not burn or itch when I put it on. But, I have noticed that on the days I use it, my mouth gets an odd dryish sensation in the back of it, and I taste that awful basic taste in my mouth.
I am also taking zinc, about 30 mg a day every other day. (That is just the dosage I have) so I don't know if that is causing it instead of the magnesium.

Has anyone ever gotten a weird taste in their mouth when using magnesium spray? Last week, my neck was super sore and tight, so I sprayed it here and that was when I first noticed the taste, but since then, I have been putting it on my thighs and I am still tasting it.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this with topical minerals?

Does this mean I have too much magnesium? I am just using three sprays at a time, which is not a ton.
I am also working to heal the effects of anxiety on my body, even though my mind and thoughts are healed, my body still has lasting effects on many years of anxiety, and I thought mag might help with that as well. So, I'd like to keep taking/using that, but I don't want know if I want oral mag because I don't want it to affect my "bathroom habits".
