Re: September Meals
I made a favorite salad tonight that has, chopped in very tiny pieces, broccoli, red cabbage, carrots, red bell pepper, cucumber, pickle, onion, and garlic. Then you pour a bunch of pickle juice on it. I admit it sounds horrible but it is so good- and for some reason it is super filling as well. Ds1 made noodles and yum sauce to go with it.
Now I am working on a roasted tomato basil soup even though we already ate dinner- I just need to use up tomatoes.
Friday is use up all the veggies night because I like to start over with produce when I shop on Saturdays.
I’m going to check on the peaches on our tree in a minute. If they are ripe I will make a cobblerisp (peach cobbler with peach crisp topping on top).
