Default Accent color for hunter green?

My house is not decorated at all. Not a picture on the wall, not a curtain hanging from the windows. I wish i had a picture, but my camera is broken I'll try to add some visuals from google

I would love to remedy this. Right now we do have furniture that i like a lot. We have a hunter green sectional (that exact one) and a matching lazyboy. They feel homey and warm. I like them and i can't foresee changing them anytime soon. We also have a hunter green rug in our adjoining office that pulls it all together (ish, the office is a mess, its not exactly the most stylish room in the house)

My walls are white except the fireplace that is sandy colored and the entry way is painted the same color. I would love to add some cast iron accents near the fireplace.

My kitchen is pretty. Its kind of like french country theme. Dark red gingham, brown countertops and tile, some bright yellow accents. I love my kitchen. I was wondering if maybe putting in some red and yellow/gold accents in the livingroom would look nice and sort of tie the two rooms together (they're not open to eachother but there is an open doorway between them) I worry that the green and red would look too...wintery?

I also like the idea of adding some navy blue, but i worry it will be too dark, and i feel like i should brighten the room up a little more

I am thinking small things. paintings or picture frames (what colors?), curtains, pillows and lap blanket. I also have nothing on my fireplace and it needs something.

Pictures and pinterest links would be appreciated. I stink at this (as you can probably tell by the fact that we've lived here for months and i've done nothing with the place ) and would love a direction to look into

I will post pictures when i get a camera but right now i just need a general idea what to look for.

With that couch, I would do burgundy and rich cream accents, which will *tie in* with the kitchen without repeating it...
