Default HELP, I woke up with itchy red welts on my body

can this be some kind of allergic reaction? Or maybe detox symptom since I am 2+weeks into a raw foods diet? I woke up with insane itching and I have these welts on my body, on my knees, ankles, butt and my hands and face are itchy but have no welts on them. I don't know what it could possibly be from. Yesterday I ate cantaloupe, romaine lettuce, agave nectar, olive oil, cabbage, carrots, pecans, raisins and sunflower seeds NONE of which I am allergic to. I don't know what's going on but I'm a little frea ked out by it. What could be causing this?

Kawani, I'm going to guess it's stress. Sometimes when people are under a tremendous amount of stress they start to get hives. You've had SO much going on lately.

If it is stress, expect to have more of them around your waistbands and whereever your clothing rubs.

It could be an allergic reaction to newish meds or some detoxing going on. I can't discount those possibilities, but I have a strong feeling that it's stress.

Forgot to ask if maybe you switched laundry detergents or something like that, but I would guess that your face would not be itchy if it were that.

I'd venture a guess at stress too.

Kawani,

If it wouldn't react with any of your meds, you can try a little bit of Benadryl and see if that helps. It might help even if the cause is stress.

I'm sorry you are having this on top of everything else. BTDT

I am leaning towards a reaction to meds as theyhave built up in your system. Stress would be my number 2 reason.

Bummer, I never even thought of meds being a possible cause. Hmmm. Stress could cause it, huh? Wow, the body does weird things when stressed...

It does What concerns me is that it *could* be the meds. If it's the meds and an allergic reaction, then you certainly don't want to keep taking it. OTOH, if it's *just* (used loosely) stress, then there isn't a need to go off the meds.

Praying for wisdom for you to know what to do.

I'm wondering about a 3rd possiblity: detox? Stress or meds could most certainly be it too.

Kawani,

How are you feeling the past few days? Did it happen again or are you fine now?

It was just that one time. SO weird. I hope it never happens again.
