Default How long do whole beans stay good in the fridge?

If I cook some pinto beans in just water for dd, how long will they stay good in the fridge? I want to make some to keep in there to give her every now and then to snack on but I dont wanna make too much at once.

You can freeze them in baggies, then plop in hot water to thaw.

Fridge, cooked... ehh. They get weird after a couple days, IME. But then too, beans are the one food I am super picky about, they seem strange in texture to me after being kept. Maybe that's my own issue and not that of the beans.

Oh yeah. I was going to ask about freezing. Thanks for that reminder!

I'll freeze cooked whole beans in the freezer for several months - I put them in pint canning jars, and pull one out when I need a 'can' of beans. I do pack them with the cooking water - if they are 'covered' by the water they keep better - 'uncovered' they tend to get freezer burnt.
