5 minute challenge.

get up, go set a timer for 5 minutes, work on your home for that 5 minutes, comeback and tell us what you did. do that every time you see the thread pop up in new posts/new replies

you can post what you do as you go through the day. you can also start with a list if you prefer!

i'm starting with a list today

this morning - hope to get out of house by 10/10:30:
breakfast
shower
start dishwasher
get pkgs together and ready to mail (4 that need to go out)

errands:
post office
health food store (for zylitol and RR drops)
mall (lunch and there is a singer for the kids on fridays

)
grocery - maybe

afternoon/evening:
empty dishwasher
figure out/make dinner
clean up living room
take care of laundry

after being gone for over a week (and leaving my house in a disaster when I left

) I really need this. However, I also have three sick kids so we will see what I can get done.

.....it's been more than 5 minutes, but I got most of yesterday's groceries up, the dirty dishes in the dishwasher, sorted through some of the mail & spent a few minutes taking care of P

I was so on top of things earlier in the week, but as the week has gone on, I have gotten more and more tired and did not do anything yesterday!
I need to catch up because the baby could come any day (or not for 3 more weeks)

I unloaded the dishwasher, and here is my list...

load dishwasher
clear kitchen table
handwash dishes that need it
sweep kitchen floor
mop kitchen floor (or supervise kids with rags)
change eye appointment
work on coupon sorting
clean carpet in bedroom (probably won't do this one)
5 minutes on each dining room hotspot
bake something to freeze
make pregnancy tea
take supplements

put 3 loads of laundry away
wash and dry and put away one more load

I am exhausted just typing that.

So far I have taken care of kitty litter, put some bedding in the washer & made some important phone calls.

P is still asleep this morning

& S just went down for a nap, so I am going to get to work seriously on the kitchen.

I put laundry away for 5 minutes. Hardly made a dent.

flipped laundry, started another load, finished loading dishwasher & started it, finished putting away yesterday's groceries, started locating kitchen countertops under the *stuff*.
